How diverse is your club?
In June 2025, the 92 professional men’s clubs in England published their workforce diversity data under Football Association Rule N.
This new rule mandated that all 92 clubs do this every two years to improve transparency and address underrepresentation so that clubs can better reflect the communities they serve, especially in board, senior leadership and senior coaching roles.
This data was collected for clubs in the Premier League and EFL over the 2024-25 season, and includes demographic data according to age, gender, ethnicity, disability and sexual orientation. For Premier League clubs, the data is also broken down according to roles, including Board and Senior Leadership, Senior Coaching, Other Coaching and Other Staff.
The data does not include event day staff or contractors, unless clubs wish to do so. The FA plans to include Women’s Super League and Women’s Championship clubs by 2027.
Kick It Out welcomes the data that clubs have provided, but as part of our recommendations to the Independent Football Regulator, we believe this data should be published every year, matching clubs’ financial and fan engagement data.
