The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing and supporting talented young footballers in a positive, supportive and professional learning environment and provide a pathway into our Academy system.

 

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging football coaching sessions to support the players and progress their football development over a 12–24 week period.
  • Carry out player and session evaluations on a weekly basis.
  • Be responsible for coaching the players across the under 7’s – under 11’s age groups.
  • Liaise with parents/carers both formally and informally to provide a positive and welcoming environment.
  • Regularly attend relevant CPD and Coach Competency Framework activities.
  • To act as a positive role model to all players.
  • To be committed to supporting the players through the games programme.

 

 

Personal characteristics and experience:

  • Experience of coaching players in the U6-U11 age bracket
  • Experience of coaching, managing and leading a team.
  • Ability to manage and motivate individuals within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
  • Knowledge of young player talent identification and development
  • Knowledge of the football recruitment process

Qualifications:

Essential

  • UEFA C License
  • FA Emergency Aid Certificate
  • FA Safeguarding Children Certificate

  • FA Youth Award

Salary is competitive, dependent on experience.

The Amateur FA is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a passion for recruiting, retaining and rewarding volunteers within the grassroots, adult game to join the team as a Volunteer Ambassador.

 

The successful candidate will drive the launch, delivery and education of resources and strategies aimed at building and enhancing the thriving volunteer network within Amateur FA football. We know that as the game continues to grow, we need more volunteers to support the game and that means recruiting more people but also retaining the excellent individuals who already give so much for the game. Additionally, the Volunteer Ambassador will support our affiliated grassroots football clubs in ensuring that they have documented all their volunteers accurately on the Club Portal to help provide an accurate overarching view of the volunteer numbers contributing to our football.

 

The FA’s grassroots football strategy 2024-28: A Thriving Grassroots Game, has set out a goal to grow the number of grassroots volunteers and ensure that they feel valued and supported to fulfil their roles in the game. Our Volunteer Ambassador will provide clubs and off-field volunteers the learning and developmental support they need to effectively fulfil their roles.

 

The Volunteer Ambassador will work with Amateur FA clubs in London and the Home Counties on a casual contract. The role will be predominantly home-based but with a requirement to deliver some in-person sessions during the evenings and/or weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and fun, football activities in areas of high need as part of our Premier League Kicks programme.
  • To plan and deliver fun, engaging and age-appropriate practical sessions at our holiday time soccer camps.
  • To deliver extra-curricular coaching sessions in school settings – these may include breakfast clubs, lesson time delivery, lunchtime clubs and after school clubs.
  • Assisting on the delivery of school competitions and other locally organised tournaments.
  • Support senior coaches, to ensure that sessions are delivered to the highest quality.
  • To effectively engage with young people at sessions, while acting as a positive role model.
  • To support with identifying suitable sites for Premier League Kicks delivery and provide opportunities which inspire, motivate, and empower young people to realise their potential.
  • To ensure that all activities are delivered within a safe, controlled environment.
  • To be committed to CPD and attend training course, seminars and meetings as required.
  • To carry out administrative duties as necessary e.g. maintain accurate attendance registers, conduct dynamic risk assessments, complete any accident reports.
  • To ensure all equipment associated with the coaching programme is correctly set up and maintained correctly
