We’re not only here to stop discrimination happening. When it does happen, our fan education programme helps the people involved see why it has to stop.

Kick It Out’s Fan Education programme offers bespoke one-to-one education sessions with individual football fans who have been identified by clubs and/or the Police as having displayed poor and/or discriminatory behaviour at football grounds or on social media.

Where required, Kick It Out also offer group sessions. Through use of restorative educational practices, the aim of the programme is to develop the understanding of those taking part in the session, allowing them to learn and reflect upon their actions and the impact this can have on the victim and across the game.

The types of behaviours addressed by this programme are hate incidents, hate crimes, or other discriminatory behaviours towards fellow fans, players, and employees of football clubs. To date, we have delivered over 400 sessions. The sessions are delivered free of charge to the referring club and individual fans.
