Kick It Out reporting service live in 900 Greene King pubs
Kick It Out’s partnership with Guinness 0.0 means you can now report discrimination in Greene King pubs.
As part of Kick It Out’s partnership with Guinness 0.0, you can now report discrimination to staff in Greene King’s 900 sports bars across England, Scotland and Wales.
It’s part of our joint campaign to ‘Never Settle Until Every Fan Belongs’, which was launched in January.
Since then, more than 4,000 members of Greene King’s team have been trained by Kick It Out to recognise and deal with discrimination related to football.
Simply look out for the Kick It Out logo in selected pubs.
The campaign was launched at The Silver Cross pub in Whitehall and was backed by former Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison and former Tottenham and Crystal Palace goalkeeper Chloe Morgan, with Arsenal Fan TV’s Robbie Lyle also in attendance.
Supporter groups Panjabi Gunners, Villa Bellas and United with Pride all took part in the launch video.
Research commissioned by Kick It Out shows that eight in 10 people think pubs should strive to be inclusive, and that many people – especially women - feel less comfortable when football is being shown on TV.
The data also showed that one in five Britons has experienced discrimination or harassment in a pub, increasing to three in 10 among disabled people and the LGBTQ+ community. Ethnic minorities are more likely than other minorities to say they’ve experienced this behaviour on matchdays.
Now that the reporting service is live, we hope it can help make every fan feel like they belong in pubs while watching football.
