About the Job

Kick It Out, football’s leading equality and inclusion, is seeking to appoint a Fan Education Facilitator to deliver targeted educational programmes that address discrimination and encourage positive supporter behaviours. This role will collaborate closely with fans, clubs, the Football Supporters’ Association, and other partners to ensure education is integrated into both preventative and responsive strategies for tackling discriminatory incidents. You will be responsible for delivering inclusive, impactful learning opportunities for supporters, both those who are proactively engaged and those referred through incidents. The role also plays a key part in integrating Kick It Out’s education and reporting services to deliver joined-up support across the football community.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver fan education programmes aimed at preventing discrimination and promoting an inclusive supporter culture.
  • Deliver targeted education to individuals referred following discriminatory behaviour at matches or online.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of EDI principles to ensure all education programmes adhere to best practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with supporter groups, football clubs, the FSA, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Support clubs and fans following incidents of discrimination, providing guidance and education as needed.
  • Obtain feedback from participants at the end of each workshop to help Kick It Out analyse the impact and effectiveness of the sessions.
  • Provide KIO with reflections on the workshops, as well as attendance data.

What we’re looking for

  • A strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and the aims and values of Kick It Out.
  • A collaborative, delivery-focused approach and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Proven experience delivering engaging in-person education, training, or workshops in community, sport, or learning environments.
  • Experience developing and delivering education or behaviour-change programmes, ideally within equality, inclusion or community settings
  • Excellent understanding of football supporter culture and the dynamics of discrimination in and around the game.
  • Skilled facilitator and communicator, confident engaging varied audiences and managing sensitive topics.
  • Experience working with individuals or groups following behavioural referrals or disciplinary incidents.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to build trust with clubs, fans and partners.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using feedback and data to evaluate and improve educational delivery.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and creating safe learning environments.
