About the opportunity: Join our Medical & Sports Science Team as a First Team Physiotherapist, supporting elite players through injury management, rehab, and matchday preparation.

Reporting to the Head of Medical Services, you’ll play a key role in maximising player performance as part of our high-performance strategy.

Your Key Responsibilities:

You’ll be central to elite player care, working with a high-performing medical team across recovery, performance, and matchday readiness.

  • Delivering physiotherapy expertise in injury diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation
  • Supporting the coordination of physiotherapy services and match-day medical cover
  • Influencing proactive pre-activation and rehab strategies to reduce injury risk
  • Rotating into the travelling performance team for fixtures (domestic and international)
  • Contributing to a multi-disciplinary approach in a high-performance environment

Who we are looking for: We’re seeking a talented, motivated physiotherapist with proven experience in elite sport, ideally with 5+ years in a professional football environment. While football-specific experience is preferred, the ability to support high-performing athletes and meet the demands of a fast-paced sporting context is essential.

The successful candidate will:

  • Demonstrate discretion, calmness, and effectiveness under pressure
  • Be a strong communicator and collaborator within a multi-disciplinary setup
  • Show evidence of ongoing CPD in areas of specialism within physiotherapy
  • Be flexible and mobile, with the ability to travel regularly as part of a high-performance team

Essential Qualifications & Accreditations

  • BSc in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • FA Level 5 ATMMiF (Advanced Trauma Medical Management in Football) (or equivalent)
  • MSc in a related field (or evidence of working toward completion)

This role is on a permanent bases working 40 hours per week and is based within Finch Farm training ground in Liverpool (Halewood).
