Supporter Engagement Officer - Wigan Athletic You will:• Invite primary school pupils to Wigan Athletic fixtures through a structured programme of engagement• Create a pathway from initial engagement to ticket sales for junior supporters and their families, using data as a driver to sales• Deliver fun and engaging promotional activities in primary schools • Initiate communication with local junior sports clubs to provide unique matchday opportunities for their players• Plan and manage a Junior Supporter Engagement event per season• Support the Club’s Equality and Diversity Action Plan and invite underrepresented groups to Wigan Athletic fixtures• Create and maintain a brochure and web page for first time visitors to the DW Stadium• Recruit a team of volunteer Supporter Liaison Officers, who would act as first point of contact for first time visitors to the DW Stadium• Create a process to efficiently manage supporter feedback both on matchday and non-matchday• Achieve agreed KPIs and objectives relating to junior supporter engagement and matchday experience• Attend all Wigan Athletic home fixturesThe successful candidate will:• Safeguarding Certificate Level 2 or equivalent• Level 2 Maths and English or equivalent• Proven track record of working in a marketing, community engagement or commercial setting• Evidence of managing and delivering promotional activities to a wide audience• Understanding of safeguarding and issues relating to working with children and young people• Ability to deliver engaging and fun presentations to junior audiences• Strong communication skills• Ability to work with different departments and/or partners to achieve a set outcome• Full clean driving licence and access to a car or the ability to travel around the region• Ability to perform under pressure and respond calmly to competing demands• Passion for leading on projects and exceeding targets• Confident and articulate• Proactive approach to relationship building• Strong relationship and negotiation skills• Creative thinker with the ability to see new opportunities• Knowledge of Wigan Athletic and the Wigan borough• Understanding of data regulations and how to use data as part of a marketing campaignClosing date for applications: 5pm on Friday 25th February 2022
