The role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Sports Massage Therapist at a pivotal time of transition and change for Burnley Football Club.
The successful applicant will provide a high level of soft tissue treatment to Burnley Football Club’s Elite Players.
Role expectations
Reporting to the Head of Medical Department, the Sports Massage Therapist will be expected to:

• Provide sport massage treatments and injury management for players.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Doctors, Physiotherapists and our Sports Science department.
• Ensure medical records are accurate and up to date.
• To be able to work flexible hours where the role of the job requires.
• To understand and implement the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment.
• Promote the Burnley Football Club brand and ethos in a professional, strong and positive manner.
• Hold a commitment to equality and diversity in the workplace and a willingness to undertake all relevant equality and diversity training.

An ideal candidate will have;
Essential:
• Vocational Training Charitable Trust level 4 or possess a Foundation Degree in Science in-cluding Sports Massage Practice.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships.


Desirable:
• Vocational Training Charitable Trust level 5 Sports Massage Practice.
• Experience of working within a professional sport environment (preferably football).
• Experience of providing pitch-side first aid.

Applicants will need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to work evenings, weekends and match days as required.
