Kick It Out continue to be at the forefront of the ambition to diversify football’s workforce thanks to their Raise Your Game mentoring and careers series.

The organisation's already successful national conference, supported by the Premier League, reached new heights on Monday 15 April as the they held their flagship event at the Emirates Stadium. Nearly 500 people packed the Woolwich Suite, for an event unrivalled in the football world.

The Premier League’s Executive Director Bill Bush opened proceedings, as he shared the Premier League’s commitment to RYG. Event hosts Anne-Marie Batson and Jules Breach then had the pleasure of guiding attendees through an action packed day of panel sessions, speeches, organised one-to-one mentoring sessions and focused workshops.

The crème de la crème on the day, was the appearance of former WBA manager Darren Moore for the afternoon. Moore took to the stage to be interviewed by Breach and Batson on his coaching journey and life after WBA. After which, he joined the one-to-one mentoring area to impart his substantial knowledge on a crop of very lucky young coaches.

Some of the very best talent across seven areas of the football industry, helped inspire a new generation of people to believe that their dream of one day working in the game can become reality.

Head of Development at Kick It Out, Troy Townsend, spoke to The Voice: “Sometimes you don’t have to reinvent the wheel, the message from people working in the industry Is really powerful and positive. We are here to support, we are here to help!

"What we try and do is give young people the opportunity to connect with mentors. We want them to create their journey, utilise the power that’s in the room and be the leaders of the future.

Robbie Lyle from AFTV making his debut, told the #RYG19 audience: “It has been fantastic, I’ve spoken so many people who have got great ideas, great plans and I would love to come back next year.
