Burnley FC in the Community (BFCitC) is the award-winning, official charity of Burnley Football Club.

We work hard every day to deliver our mission to inspire, support and deliver change to communities across Burnley, Pendle, Rossendale, the Ribble Valley and West Yorkshire.

We work with over 70 local, regional and national partners in five key areas: Sport, Education, Health, Social Inclusion and Community Facilities. Our highly skilled, dynamic and passionate team now deliver over 50 community projects that touch the lives of a huge spectrum of people in and around Burnley. From children and young people right through to senior citi-zens.

Day-by-day the outreach of our work is growing and along with our brand-new state of the art leisure facility - Leisure Box, Whitehough Outdoor Activity Centre and UCFB at Turf Moor; truly exciting things are happening at Burnley FC in the Com-munity.

The charity is now looking to recruit to the role of Front of House Assistant.

The role

The Front of House Assistant will be based at the Leisure Box providing excellent customer service to all visitors, customers and participants. They will deal with enquires via phone, email and face to face whilst ensuring they are friendly, warm and positive.

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the Front of House Assistant will respond to and manage a variety of customer types including bookings, payment enquiries and complaints.

The Front of House Assistant will be expected to:

• Greet our visitors, customers and participants with a friendly, warm and professional attitude.
• Deal with enquiries via phone, email and face to face.
• Keep the reception area clean and organised.
• Adhere to and help enforce all Health and Safety standards, centre rules, regulations and policies.
• Report all repairs and maintenance issues to the Caretaker.
• Prepared to respond and manage a variety of customer types, bookings, payments enquiries, and complaints.
• Ensure five-star customer service at all times.
• Willingness to attend training courses including Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity.
• Demonstrate the Burnley FC in the Community values at all times.
• Promote the Burnley FC in the Community brand and ethos in a professional, strong and positive manner.
• Work alongside other team members to support in other areas of the centre as and when required to promote best practice.
• Assist in other areas of the centre when required.

An ideal candidate will have;
• A positive attitude towards professional development and their own learning.
• Working with IT systems including Microsoft Office.
• Working in a customer facing role.
• Excellent communication skills (written, telephone and face to face).
• A passion for the community and making a difference.
• A friendly, positive ‘can do’ and courteous attitude.
• A commitment to the aims, vision and values of Burnley FC in the Community.
• Willingness to have a full DBS check.
• Ability to work within a team and foster good working relationships.
• Meticulous standards.
• Highly motivated, determined and conscientious.
• Good judgement and knowing when to seek advice or support.
• Flexible, helpful and responsive.

• An understanding of health and safety.
