Inspire Tutor

Since 1988, Everton in the Community has been at the forefront of social intervention across Merseyside, not afraid to tackle issues which others shied away from. We use the power of sport to motivate, educate and inspire people in our local communities to improve their life chances.

We have a great opportunity for a Inspire Tutor to join our Education and Employability Team. We are currently expanding the delivery of programmes throughout the Liverpool City Region where the team will deliver alternative education programmes within targeted schools.

This role will contribute to the strategy outlined under Everton in the Community’s Impact model of delivering Education, Community and Support programmes to engage, inspire and motivate young people to make positive choices and to achieve their potential.

The successful candidate will deliver a variety of school-based alternative educational and short enrichment programmes to target secondary school children. You will need to engage and enthuse young people aged between 11 and 18 identified as being at risk of underachieving due to a variety of different factors.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate experience developing session plans and schemes of work, who is confident to manage challenging student behaviours, can adapt to different styles of learning and can motivate and inspire young people to achieve their potential.

Ordinarily, the team is based within the Everton in the Community Campus at Goodison Park but in light of the ongoing pandemic the team is working on a remote basis. This position is on a fixed term basis, aligned to funding. The closing date of this advert is on Wednesday 24th March at 11:59pm. This position is on a fixed term basis until 31st March 2022.
