Kick It Out is delighted to announce the FA Women’s National League Championship play-off final will be dedicated to our work.

The match takes place at the 25,000-capacity Valley Parade stadium, home to Bradford City, on Saturday 18 May at 3pm.

Northern and Southern Premier Division winners, Blackburn Rovers and Coventry United, will compete to be crowned the overall national champions of the FA Women’s National League.

Rovers Ladies will be hoping to make it third time lucky after losing the same play-off in 2016/17 and 2017/18.

Gemma Donnelly’s side have enjoyed another successful season, retaining the FA Women's National League Cup for a second year and storming to the FA Women’s National League North title for a third consecutive season with a plus-97 goal difference, losing just once in the league all season.

Coventry United Ladies also lost just once on their way to winning the FA Women’s National League South. The team, managed by Jay Bradford, are affiliated with the Coventry United FC, set up in 2013 after Coventry City moved to Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium.

Both clubs will be promoted to the FA Women’s Championship for next season – the second tier of women’s football in England – subject to meeting licence criteria.

FA Women’s National League Chairman Carol West said: “We’re thrilled to be heading to Bradford City FC for our end of season showcase event.  Both Blackburn and Coventry are worthy divisional champions and I’m sure both will be determined to stake their claim of being National League Champion.

“We are also delighted to support Kick It Out at the event. They have achieved so much in the last 25 years to drive equality and inclusion in football and we hope that we help raise further awareness of the campaign to help spread the word that any sort of discrimination is not acceptable and must be reported to drive it out of the game we all love.”

A spokesperson for Kick It Out added: "We're delighted to be partnering with the FAWNL on their Championship Play-Off season finale. It should be a great day of football.

"This is a great opportunity to raise awareness of the Kick It Out campaign and we're extremely grateful for the support shown to us."
