Sussex Police have banned a Chelsea supporter from attending football matches for three years and fined him £965, after he was found guilty of homophobic chanting in the club's fixture against Brighton and Hove Albion on 16 December.

Following the announcement, Kick It Out have released a short comment:

"Positive to see swift action taken by Sussex Police. Homophobia has no place in football - you will be caught and you will face the consequences."
