News & Media News Applications open for Equality & Diversity in Football Award Kick It Out are now accepting applications for the next intake of students for our Equality and Diversity Awareness in Football Award. The distance learning course, run in partnership with Solent University, Southampton, enhances the professional development of those aspiring to work in, or currently working in, the football industry. It can not only advance career progression but also help participants develop a better understanding of equality and diversity practices in football. Previous students include former footballers and current managers, as well as staff from The FA, county FA’s, Premier League and English Football League clubs across the country. Osei Sankofa, Education Officer at Kick It Out and a graduate of the award, said: "This course is perfect for anybody looking to further their understanding of equality and inclusion issues within the football industry. "It also serves as a valuable tool in helping to reflect on existing practices and procedures – and most importantly the law around equality." To apply, you must meet the following requirements: You should be working or volunteering within the football industry, or studying full-time for a qualification related to work in football You must be able to commit to completing 8 to 15 hours of work online between March 18 and May 10.
