A volunteering project for young people aged 16-25 is hosting regional training workshops over the next two months.
BOOM! Nation is a unique volunteering project for 16-25 year olds. BOOM! volunteers connect and benefit their communities by learning and putting into practise film making and creative media skills [through their local youth club].
The project challenges young people to make films about where they live, what they think, their interests, passions and concerns – and then to use their films to help make a positive difference in their communities by raising awareness and campaigning for change.
As well as being shared and shown in local communities, all BOOM! films will be broadcast to a wider audience through MTV (online and across MTV channels).
A new series of regional BOOM! training workshops (covering pre-production skills) will be taking place in 2009 in the following locations:
4 July London
8 August Stevenage
17 August St Albans
