Millwall FC hosted an event for over a hundred schoolchildren in support of the One Game, One community weeks of action.
The event on Monday (13 October) featured workshops from the Southwark Traveller Action Group (STAG), The Arts Temple and Kick It Out, along with coaching sessions from Millwalls' community coaches.
The event also saw a Q&A session with a panel including Millwall executive deputy chair and Kick It Out trustee Heather Rabbatts England Women's international Mary Phillip and Millwall midfielder Adrian Forbes.
The coaching sessions were extremely popular with all the pupils, as they were able to make use of the club's top class facilities.
STAG also presented the students with a fresh perspective on the traveller community, whilst The Arts Temple taught them about African art, and allowed them to try their hand at creating their own works of art.
The Kick It Out workshop took the form of a quiz, informing the youngsters on the history of black and Asian football, as well as introducing to them ideas of cultural diversity.
The Q&A session was also a huge success, with the children asking a number of interesting and incisive questions of the panel.
