An event hosted by Derby's GAD Khalsa Sports will showcase some of the region's most promising Asian footballers at Derby's Pride Park Stadium this Monday.

The event kicks off at the home of the Rams at 4pm and promises to be a feast of football. Organiser Karnjit.S.Khatkar explains:
"At GAD Khalsa Sports, we're proud of being one of the Derby's most established and prominent Asian football clubs. We're only too aware that there is a well of footballing talent within Derby's ethnic community and Monday's event is designed to highlight some of this."
The club will do this by pitting each of the club's teams, from the under 9's upwards, against opposition from across Derbyshire. "Our lads will be playing teams from other similar community groups from across the county as well as more established non-league teams like Ilkeston Town & Belper Town."
"The event is open to all football supporters of all ages and backgrounds. And, for those who've had their fill of the beautiful game for one season, there'll be a range of alternative entertainment from bouncy castles to raffles, not to mention the opportunity to meet people from across the region."
