The Unity Cup Festival will reach more than a thousand footballers from displaced communities this year.

Following the success of the annual festival, which was launched in 2003, the format has been changed to engage more displaced communities and capacity build groups across the country.

New format
This year, regional Unity Cup Festivals will be held across the country to ensuer that the football tournament, and it's message have a greater reach.

Kick It Out will work with regional partners to stage the regional football festivals and provide prizes, equipment and branding for every event.

To ensure that fair play is a central message at every festival the teams collecting the biggest prices will not be the winners of the tournament, but the team that receives the Fair Play Award.

Regional festivals
Regional Unity Cup Festivals will take place in the following cities:

Manchester - 16 June
Edinburgh - 17 June
Southampton - 23 June
Bristol - 23 June
Sunderland - 24 June
Birmingham - 24 June
Liverpool - 30 June
Sheffield - 30 June
