Racial equality seminars

Group shot for RES

Clubs receive RES certificate

Professional football clubs have came together at seminars in London and Leeds to discuss their practical experiences of working on the Racial Equality Standard.

Kick It Out has been working with clubs across the country on the framework document for professional clubs to help them extend and develop their racial equality work.

Good practice
Each seminar highlighted examples of good practice of work taking place within clubs.

Both events were aimed at clubs who are already working on the Standard, and those that have not yet started work but who hope to do so next season.

Club representatives including club secretaries, chief executives and human resources managers attended, along with colleagues who have direct responsibility for the areas covered by the Standard.

Sharing experiences
The seminars encouraged an environment where those within different clubs could discuss and share practical experiences of working on equality issues. It will also provided an opportunity to look at the ways that clubs with the Standard could help to support other clubs working towards achieving it.
