Moving on Up - Manchester 06

Panellist answer questions from youngsters in the audience

Moving On Up Youth Forums provide young people in different areas of the country with the chance to hear and meet from a number of role models, drawn from football, other sports, music and the media, to help raise motivation and achievement.

The aim of each session is to help instil a sense of belief in those attending, help them understand opportunities to succeed and raise aspirations. The events also look at the effects of racism both within football (and sport more generally) and within the wider community.

Each forum features three or four panellists chosen to illustrate key messages about personal motivation drawing on the dedication and work that they have put into their own profession. Events often include an element of performance, such as dance, song or theatre, to help showcase community projects.
